The Third Pull

(A note from the Bibleman, the author of this article.)

I left this article intact because at the time I originally wrote it, I believed that Brother Branham had actually been given two gifts to prove his ministry and have just recently discovered that he didn't. In his own words, he confessed that it was that angel who really operated the gifts through him. This can be found stated in a number of his messages. Since he didn't really receive the first two gifts, which were called the first and second pulls to operate at his will, it stands to reason that the third pull is nonexistent, especially since it wasn't in operation during his ministry. This so called Angel lied to Brother Branham about the number of signs that God gave Moses and lied to him about his being given two gifts to use.

This is very difficult for me to say, but I don't believe that the angel that visited Brother Branham was sent by God. If tha angel had have been sent by God, he wouldn't have made an error in quoting scripture and misrepresenting the gifts Brother Branham was supposed to have been given.

Sorry to have to report this in this manner my friends, but for a long time I have been deceived about a lot of things just as you have.

Following is the original article.

I Know this sounds like a very unusual title, but for those who have listened to the sermons delivered by a Minister several years ago, Rev William Branham, you are somewhat familiar with what it means. For those of you who haven't heard of William Branham, I will explain what the title, The Third Pull means, and why it is important to know what it is.

This subject is not based upon the Bible as much as it is based upon William Branham's Ministry, for it was He who introduced the term of the third pull to the people. William Branham explained that an Angel had visited him, and during the visit, the Angel first used the term of the first, second and third pull, explaining William Branham's ministry to him.

As William Branham explained to the people, the three pulls referred to were three supernatural signs which were to be used in his ministry. These three signs were to serve as vindication of God having sent William Branham to minister to His people. But the Angel that visited him explained to William Branham, that it would be in error to try to explain these signs to the people. Unfortunately, as William Branham himself confessed, he did just what the Angel warned him not to do, and because of this a number of carnal impersonations arose.

All three of the pulls, or supernatural signs, were not manifested fully during William Branham's ministry, only the first two were. The first sign that was given to him was that by his laying a hand upon a sick person, he would be able to tell what was wrong with them. The second sign was the ability to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart of a person. The third sign, which I have said before was never fully manifested during his ministry, it was a mystery to the people, and not really recognized by William Branham until very late in his ministry.

William Branham said that he had a vision showing him the start of the manifestation of this third pull, which he called the "Tent Vision", but the vision didn't come to pass before he was taken from us. In this "Tent Vision", it shows us a sequence of events that will take place. First William Branham will be carried up high. This has been fulfilled. Second, the light will leave him. Thirdly, the operation of the third pull will take place.

One might wonder, why was William Branham told about the third pull, and even had it demonstrated to him what it was, then take him off the scene before it was made manifest to the people? Well I'm sure only God has the answer to that, but hearing what William Branham had to say during the last couple of years of his life, there is a clue to why this happened that way, but it would serve no useful purpose to speculate on that at this time, just to believe that God had His reason for removing him from this life.

William Branham had his "Tent Vision" sometime near the end of the year of 1955, but did not realize at that time what the "Third Pull" actually was. It was not until 1963 when he actually became aware of what it was. Over the years, he said that it had been demonstrated to him on at least five occasions how the third pull would operate, but since the vision had never come to pass, the full manifestation of it was not seen.

The Angel that visited William Branham told him that it was a mistake to explain the first and second pulls to the people, for it had brought about some carnal impersonations of it. He told him that the operation of the "Third Pull" was to be kept a secret and no public show was to be made of it. Specifically, the it was shown to him in the vision that it was to be made manifest in a little wooden room or building. The Angel used the scripture of the Lord Jesus to set the basis for its operation when He quoted Matthew 6:5-6:

Mat 6:5-6 (KJV) And when you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father which is in secret; and your Father which sees in secret shall reward you openly.

I believe that near the end of his ministry, William Branham began to realize that the time for the full manifestation of the "Third Pull" had not arrived. Knowing this, he began to speak of someone coming along after him, with the last message of the Church age which would prepare the people for the return of the Lord. This became very evident to him when he preached about the opening of the "Seven Seals". During this time God showed him that the mystery of the "Seven Thunders" was not to be known for some time, for it was the revealing of these seven thunders that would prepare God's people for the rapture. William Branham may have never said it, but I believe that the "Third Pull” and the revealing of the "Seven Thunders" are related.

Just as Moses had led the people out of Egypt and was supposed to take them into the Promise land, but was prevented to do so for forty years for some reason, until Joshua took Moses' place; I believe that it could have been God's intent for William Branham to lead his people through the rapture, but also was prevented to do so. This was either in God's initial plan, or for some other reason.

Even right up to the end of William Branham's life, just before the Lord took him off the scene, he realized there was something more to come, for he said:
"I'm only building. The hour is close at hand when you're going to see something happen, when something is going to take place. And all this background here has only been laying a foundation for a short, quick Message that will shake the whole nations". Just one month before his life on Earth ended, William Branham said: "And that's why today we're in such a need of this great person that's supposed to be sent to us in the form of the prophet Elijah".

William Branham knew that God had some more preparing to do before the return of Christ, before the secret of the seven thunders was made known and before the third pull would be fully manifested.

So just exactly what is the "Third Pull"? Did William Branham ever reveal to us what it was? Or is it still a secret? He didn't say that the Angel said we shouldn't know what it was, only that it was not to be used in public; it was not to be a public show.

In December of 1963, William Branham said:
"The third pull, has now been vindicated, it is here, this will be a thing that will start the rapturing faith". But what was he talking about? Did he ever give the people any clue as to what it was?

In reference to it back in November of 1959, he said,
"that's why I would never preach on the subject: "If you say to this mountain, Be moved". What did he mean by that? Well it should be obvious, that he was talking about just speaking the word and things would come to pass. Didn't Jesus say: (Mat 17:20) for verily I say unto you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Also: (Mat 21:22) and all things, whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.

William Branham also made reference to several things that he said happened to him, and  believed they were a demonstration of the third pull.

These things were,

1. Speaking life back into a dead fish,

2. Speaking some squirrels into existence,

3. Speaking a tumor in his wife's side out of existence,

4. By speaking the word, reversing the threat of a snow storm while hunting in the mountains,

5. Speaking a word for the salvation of Hattie Wright's sons.

William Branham said that he did witness the operation of the third pull, but he said that it would not be in operation in its fullest extent until much later. I'm sure that he realized that the person coming after him would be anointed with the use of that gift if that gift was really from God, for he said in 1961, that the person was alive at that time, and" just like Elijah did, he'll come busting out of the wilderness somewhere and make himself known."

Then one day while he was in Sabino Canyon in Arizona, in a vision he said that a Sword was placed in his hand for just a moment then it was taken away. Then he heard a voice saying don't fear, this is that third pull. Yes, the third pull was in his hand just for a time then it was taken away. From June of 1957 to November of 1963 he said that he witnessed the operation of the third pull five times, then never again.

Since the "Tent Vision" never was manifested during William Branham's ministry, the "Third Pull" is still to be seen in operation in the Church, sometime in the future. When the time is right, God will bring forth the person that He promised to restore the truth of His Word in the Church, and this person will be anointed by the Spirit, with signs following his ministry, to prepare God's people for the coming of Christ, and the rapture of the Saints.

That time is nearer than it has ever been!
