The Antichrist

There is a lot of talk about the antichrist in these days. People are beginning to realize that if God is going to put an end to this World and/or this life as we know it, we certainly are closer to that time than we have ever been. There is a lot of preaching about the antichrist coming and what he will do when he arrives and a lot of books and movies being produced about what will happen when that time arrives.

It is being promoted that the antichrist will be a certain person, some say it will be a man and some say it will be a woman, but all agree in their promotions that this person will take over the World and cause an enormous persecution of Christians.

Well, without a doubt, I don’t agree with any of them. The reason is that the scriptures do not support everything they are telling the people.

To start off, we should understand that the word antichrist does not mean to be “anti”-“Christ”, in fact the true definition of it means to be “a false Christ”. The word Christ is not the last name of Jesus to start with. The word Christ means the anointed one or the Messiah. Jesus Christ actually means Jesus the Messiah or Jesus the anointed one.

Jesus said in Matthew 24:23-24: “If any man shall say unto you, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

Jesus calls them false Christs, meaning false anointed ones trying to convince the people that they have been anointed by God to minister to His people.

Because Jesus warned His apostles about these false anointed ones, the ones they called antichrists, the apostles really thought that their day was the last days that Jesus was speaking about. In a way they were right because those days after Jesus was crucified was the beginning of “the last days”. Those “last days” starting during the time of the apostles ministry are continuing even until this day in our lives. It is the last days now, but no one really knows how much longer these last days will continue; only God knows.

People are saying “the antichrist is coming”, what shall we do when the antichrist gets here? Well, you had better open your eyes to the fact that the antichrist is already here. All you have to do is turn your TV on and you’ll see those who are giving prophecies, laying hands on people and causing them to fall over backwards, seemingly under the power of an anointed preacher. If you look in most of our churches you can find an antichrist behind the pulpit preaching false doctrines from the bible telling you what the truth of God’s word is for you today.

John wrote in his book; First John 2:18: it is the last time: and as you have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

Yes John says even then, in his time, that it is the last days and many antichrists exist among the people. We see that John. Even now, today in the year 2010 there are many antichrists among us and we know also that these are the last days. These false anointed ones, both male and female who claim to have the Holy Spirit and have been sent by God to preach and prophesy and lay hands on those who are in need. These have the spirit of antichrist and are deceiving people by the millions and laughing all the way to the bank to deposit your tithes.

Its time for all you people to wake up and receive the truth of what is happening and turn away from these false teachers and false prophets, these antichrists and find an anointed bible teacher that wants to do nothing but point you to the truth of God’s Word.
