Facts of the Faith

The Facts of the Faith, are you listening or in a state of dying and not aware of it?

It’s time for all of us to put behind us all of the interpretations of scripture that we have heard and face the facts about Jesus in the literal way the scriptures explain them to us.

First of all Jesus didn’t begin His life when He was born of Mary in Bethlehem. Jesus was in Heaven with His Father Jehovah our God. God sent Him to the Earth to serve the purpose that God wanted to happen. Jesus existed in Heaven as a created being, one of the Sons of God that was spoken of in the book of Job. (Job 38:7) He existed in a glorified body with His Father who chose Jesus to be the one to accomplish His work on Earth and sent Him to the Earth. (John 8:42)

Now Jesus was, as the scripture states without sin. He was not without sin because that He never committed sin on the Earth, even though He didn’t. He was without sin because sin is unbelief and Jesus had no unbelief because what He knew about God was true and He remembered His role in Heaven even after He was born on the Earth. Jesus clearly said that He came from the Father in Heaven and was going to return there.(John 7:33

When Jesus began His ministry He was a mortal man and when He was baptized the Father sent His own Spirit to indwell Jesus. This is the same Spirit that we other mortals receive, but there is a little difference between how Jesus received it and how we receive it. Jesus was without the sin of unbelief because He retained the memory of being in Heaven with His Father and received the Spirit of God without measure.(John 3:34) We as mortal human beings do not have the level of belief that Jesus had. Yes I know that we say we believe and say our faith is great, but we don’t have the degree of belief that Jesus had. What we call faith and belief is more on the order of hope rather than faith. Until we attain to the level of belief that Jesus had, if we ever can, the measure of God’s Spirit that we have will be based upon an increased knowledge of the truth of God’s Word, attainable only by our experience with God and seeing what He causes to come to pass before our eyes. This is because we are mortal and can only see clearly what our mortal eyes view. (1 Cor 12:11)

What did Jesus say about faith to His disciples? He said: “If you had faith as a grain of mustard seed, you could speak and move a mountain”. (Matt 17:20) So what does that say about our faith? Do we really have faith without doubting? A preacher by the name of William Branham once said: “I believe before the church can have the rapture, it’s got to have rapturing faith”. What will it take for our faith to increase and our doubts to cease? It will take a unquestionable experience with God, seeing God make something happen that only God could have done it. Something like a light fading out in a certain picture all over the World that God has revealed to a certain person would happen.

Now there is a common teaching among a number of churches that Jesus is actually God who came to the Earth in the flesh. If what they believe is true then Jesus is not the Son of God because He can’t be God the Father and Jesus His Son at the same time. There are a number of scriptures in the four gospel accounts that are used by those who believe that Jesus was actually God Himself. Most of these scriptures are written in such a manner that they could be interpreted to support their belief if anyone was inclined to use them for that purpose. In contrast, there are some scriptures that do not need any interpretation and prove beyond a shadow of doubt that Jesus and God are two separate beings.

The most pronounced are the following:

When Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, a voice came from Heaven and said: “this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased”.(Matt 3:17) (Mark 1:11)(Luke 3:22)

Then at one time Jesus went up onto a mountain with Peter, James and John and while they were there a voice spoke out of a cloud that overshadowed them and said: “This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased, hear ye him”.(Matt 17:5), (Mark 9:7), (Luke 9:35), (2 Peter 1:17)

Now that should make it clear that if Jesus was standing on the ground in front of witnesses in both of these cases, and the voice came from above speaking about His Son, it proves that God and Jesus are not the same person.

There was one person that gave an analogy about God and Jesus being one and the same person that went like this: “If the Ocean is God and you dipped a glass into the Ocean and filled the glass, it would be that God would be both in the Ocean and in the glass”. Well I do agree with that, but that doesn’t make the glass God, it is still a glass with God in it. Just like when Jesus received the Holy Spirit of God at His baptism, He received God, which is the Holy Spirit into His body. Now that didn’t make Him God, He was still the man Jesus with God in Him. Jesus said many times that it was not Him that did the supernatural works, it was God who was in Him that did the works.(John 14:10)

Another analogy that was made goes like this: “God can be a Father and a Son at the same time, just like I am a father to my son and I am a son to my father. That makes me a father and a son at the same time”. That might make any man a father and a son at the same time, but it doesn’t make any man his own father or his own son.  That analogy belongs in grade school.

Then there are those who quote John 10:30 and say that it proves that Jesus and God are the same person, well let’s look at it.

John 10:30 I and my Father are one.

The thought that comes to me about this is what the scripture says about a man marrying a woman and the two becoming one.(Matt 19:5-6) Now to become one means that they are united and have become one with the same purpose in God’s eyes, but they are still two separate persons, just like Jesus and His Heavenly Father are one, united in the same cause, but are still two separate persons. This is just one example how two different people can interpret this verse two different ways.

Let’s look at what happened in the upper room to the Apostles on the day of Pentecost. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Did that make the Apostles God? Absolutely not! They were still individual men filled with the Spirit of God and united as one with the same purpose just as God and Jesus were united as one. How about any of you reading this, if you have received the Holy Spirit are you God? How can so many people be without understanding of spiritual things?

Look at another scripture that can’t be disputed. Look at John 7:28-29 as follows:

I have not come of myself, but He that sent me is true, whom you know not. But I know Him for I am from Him and He has sent me”.

This and many more verses make it very clear that Jesus did not send Himself because He is not God the Father. He said that the Father who is in Heaven had sent Him. Then in verse 33, Jesus said that He was to return to the Father that sent Him.

There is another verse that many use to attempt to prove that Jesus is God. It was the words that Thomas spoke when he checked Jesus’ body for the marks that He received at His crucifixion. Thomas spoke saying: “my Lord and my God”. And they try to use this to prove their case about Jesus being God. Well Thomas may have believed that Jesus was God, but that didn’t make it so. Thomas was more like an unbeliever that Jesus was not the Messiah, the Son of God until that event occurred. On the occasion when Jesus was going to raise Lazarus, Thomas being an unbeliever as to who Jesus was said: “Let us also go, that we may die with Him”.(John 11:16)  Again there was another incident when Thomas displayed his unbelief in Jesus when the other Apostles told him about having seen Jesus and Thomas told then that he would not believe unless he saw physical proof that Jesus was alive. (John 20: 24-25) So without a doubt Thomas was overwhelmed when Jesus appeared to him and may have thought to himself that only God could have appeared to them in that manner. There were eleven Apostles there at the time and none of the others said anything to substantiate Thomas’ claim at that time or ever that Jesus was God. Remember the scripture: “By the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established”.

In John 14:9 there is another quote of Jesus that is also used. Let’s look at what Jesus said.

“He that has seen me has seen the Father”.

But what if we use another statement by Jesus to make this statement more a reality and better understandable. Look at what Jesus said in John 12:45:

“He that sees me, sees Him that sent me

Both of these two sayings are made clear by a third one which says:

John 14:10 The Father that dwells in me does the works.

So can you see what Jesus is telling them? Not that He was the Father, but that the works being done showed them that the Father was present in Him doing the works. If they saw God’s works being performed and were watching Jesus they could see the Father because of and by the works.

Look throughout the scriptures at the many times when Jesus said the Father has sent me and the Father that is in me does the works and I came from the Father and will return to Him and my Father is greater than I am and only the Father knows the time of my return, the day or the hour and the Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand and on and on the evidence being given to you in the scriptures proves that Jesus is not God, that He is the Son of God, but because of your stubbornness you will not accept the truth.

Why is it so hard for anyone to see the truth? Jesus is asking you all right from the scriptures: “Do you now believe? How many of you have been taught by your churches, by your denominations, by a preacher who shows you a picture with a light above his head that Jesus is God? This doctrine started back in 325AD by the Catholic Church and has been adopted by so many throughout the years even against what the scriptures clearly prove to us all.

Why has all of this false teaching prevailed? It’s very simple, satan has promoted all of this by one of the biggest lies that he has been able to get people to believe in order to get even with God for rejecting him and casting him out of Heaven. Everyone has been asleep in their pews and allowing their preachers to get away with convincing everyone something that is not true and none of you have the courage to challenge them with the truth that the scriptures present to you.

Finally Thomas did become a believer because he saw a physical sign, but Jesus said: “blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed”.  If anyone looks for and needs a supernatural sign in order to believe the truth, you just might believe the signs and miss the truth that God has sent to us in the scriptures. Have you heard about healings being performed, miracles happening, prophecies being made and coming true? Have you witnessed these yourself or have you just believed what someone else has told you that they have happened? Then why do you not believe what God has told you by way of the Holy scriptures? Shouldn’t God’s word be more believable than any man’s word?

The devil has put you in jeopardy of losing your chance at eternal life by getting you to believe that Jesus was not the Son of God as the Gospel has stated, but was really God Himself that came in the flesh and has deceived you into believing something contrary to the scriptures.

Now I have a word for all of you that belong to these large organized denominational churches where all you hear preached is a social gospel. Almost all you hear from your pulpits is how to live your life on Earth and how to get along in your everyday lives. This might very well be good for your lives on Earth, but it won’t get you into Heaven when the Lord returns for His church. You sit in your pews listening to a lecture from a person that you believe God has called into the ministry, but more than likely you never hear the meat of the Gospel and the truth from the Bible that is necessary to get you saved. You believe everything that your preacher says without ever holding him to the truth of God’s Word by getting to know the scriptures for yourself and challenging him when you don’t agree with what he is preaching. One day the Lord will return when the time comes and you’ll wonder why you are still sitting in your same pews and have been left behind. Then what are you going to do?

This is a word that I have for a special group of people that claim to be “Message of the Hour” believers. You have vowed in your heart to believe what you have been taught about depending upon a revelation to understand God’s Word instead of believing what the scriptures say. You have set a man up as a prophet that was not a Prophet sent by God and display and worship a picture of him with what you believe is a supernatural light appearing above his head. You are using that picture as an idol to remember everything that you were told about his ministry by those who had their own agenda and you believed everything they said even though it didn’t agree with Bible Scripture.

If you believe that Jesus was God and not the Son of God, then you cannot profess a belief in the Gospel that God sent His only begotten Son to the Earth to provide a way to save us from our sin. That is a non scriptural belief that will keep you out of Heaven.

God will give you a sign that what I have presented to you is the truth. I hope that He does that before your life ends on this Earth. If it doesn’t, you will miss the second coming of Christ and the rapture of His church and the only chance you’ll have in inheriting eternal life is in the Great White Throne Judgment where you’ll be judged by what you have done in this physical life.

Repent of your unbelief in the Gospel of Christ and believe that God’s Word is true, be baptized in Jesus’ Name and you will receive the Holy Spirit of God which will prepare you to be accepted by Christ when He returns for His church.

I have presented the facts of the true faith to you. Will you now believe or will you die in your sin because of unbelief in the Word of God?

An interesting discussion is worth comment. I think that you should write more on this topic, it might not be a taboo subject but generally people are not enough to speak on such topics. To the next. Cheers
