Can You Believe What The Bible Says?
Without the bible we could never know anything about God or His Son Jesus Christ. Without the bible we could not have known about the possibility of an eternal life after this mortal life is over. Without the bible we could not have known anything about the creation of this World or why it was created. Without the bible we could not have known how God interacted with mankind throughout the thousands of years that mankind has dwelled on the Earth. Without knowing what is written in the bible, our lives would be without purpose and we would have nothing to live for except to see our death as the purpose of being born.
If you can believe what the bible says, then why would you chose to believe someone who says that it means something other than what is written in it. Do you really believe that God inspired the writing of bible scripture that cannot be understood by everyone who reads it? Do you really believe that someone must tell you what scripture really means other than what it says?
If you really believe that God inspired the writing of bible scripture for us to understand and believe, then why don’t you just believe what it says. If you are not willing to believe what scripture says without someone else telling you what it means, then why don’t you just discard the bible and follow the person that is interpreting it for you? Why continue to read/study the bible when you don’t believe what it says without someone explaining it to you?
Paul the Apostle who was responsible for the writing of most of the New Testament and who was chosen by Jesus to be the Apostle to the Gentile Nations said this: “ There are some that would trouble you and pervert the gospel of Christ.”
“But though we, or an angel from Heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let them be accursed”.
The meat of the gospel is that “God sent His only begotten Son into the World and all that believe in Him would not perish but have everlasting life”.
The Son of God spoken of is Jesus of Nazareth.
According to the Apostle Peter.
“A man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by Him in the midst of you, as you yourselves also know”.(Acts 2:22) “God has made Jesus whom you have crucified, both Lord and Christ”. (Acts 2:36)
To make Jesus of Nazareth anything other than the SON of GOD is to call God a liar and a deceiver and the written gospel of Christ untrue.
The Bottom Line is to believe the gospel as is written in the scriptures and be saved or to believe man’s interpretation of it and be lost.
