The Second Exodus

During the time of Moses there was an exodus that occurred. The Israelites were in the land of Egypt, in a land that was not their's, and out of the will of God. They were living in a land under the rule of a Pharaoh serving his own personal desires and learning the same ways of life that the Egyptians lived. They ate the same kind of food that the Egyptians ate, and worshiped the same Gods that the Egyptians worshiped. But they had the knowledge in their heart that one day they would return to the land that God had promised to their fathers.

So God raised up a man called Moses that He would use to bring His people out of that land, and lead them back to the land that He had promised to give them, across the Jordan River. So Moses went to the people and told them that God had sent him to take the people out of Egypt and lead them back to the land which was to be their home forever.

When Moses led the people out of Egypt, there came an incident where they rejected God's Word, they disbelieved Him. For this reason, God delayed their arrival in the land of promise, and they wandered in the wilderness of Sinai for forty years before crossing the River Jordan, and entering it.  Moses, because of not holding to God's Word, was not allowed to take the people across into the promise land, so he died before the crossing took place. God took the leadership of the Israelites from Moses and put it upon another man, Joshua. Joshua then led the people across the River Jordan and entered the land that God had given to them.

So there is a rather short summary of the story. The story of the exodus of God's people out of a pagan land, a land that was not to be their home. This was the first exodus.

Well history is again repeating itself. Another exodus of God's people has taken place, and another period of wandering in the wilderness because of unbelief in God's Word. Only this exodus was for the Gentiles. In this exodus, the Gentiles were called out of the World to prepare themselves for crossing over into a heavenly promised land. But they are still wandering in the wilderness, because God did not permit their Moses to take them up to the crossing of the River.

Now all of what I am about to say is not just speculation on my part, I have received what I consider to be a revelation from God about this. We must remember, God has made a habit of doing something in the physical realm, then following it up with the same thing happening in the spiritual. As He brought the Israelites, a physical people, out of Egypt, a physical land, I believe that He is now bringing His Bride, a spiritual people, out of a Church World where the truth of God's Word is not used for the basis of their faith, into a spiritual kingdom, preparing them to enter into that land where eternal life exists.

Back in the year of 1933, God anointed a man to bring forth a message to the people that was to prepare them for the last stage of their journey. This message was to prepare the Bride of Christ for His eminent return. But something went wrong. The Messenger, the second Moses, left the scene before the return of Christ for His Bride, just as Moses left the scene before the crossing of the River Jordan. Now those who were called to be the Bride are continuing to wander in a wilderness, not able to approach the River Jordan, because they have no one to lead them.

The Messenger/Deliverer that God sent to assemble His Bride, after calling them out of the World into the wilderness, led them for thirty two and one half years. The original Moses led the Israelites through the wilderness for forty years. So this could mean that this group which was called out has seven and one half years left, of being led through the wilderness, before they reach their River Jordan. For you see, if History is going to repeat itself, just as the Israelites were led by the first Moses for forty years, so must this latter group also be led for forty years. And if the deliverer of this latter group was taken away before the journey was over, God will have to send someone to complete the task.

Now it is obvious to me that the Messenger/Deliverer that God sent was William Marrion Branham. For William Branham said the message that he received at the River in June 1933 was that "just as John the Baptist forerun the first coming of Christ, his (William Branham's) message would forerun His second coming".

Contrary to what many say, Brother Branham himself was not to forerun Christ's second coming, as did John the Baptist the first time. If this was so, either Brother Branham would still be on the scene, or Christ has already returned the second time, and neither of these things are true. So it had to be that his message was to forerun Christ's return.

The second exodus, being conducted by William Branham started in June of the year 1933, and continued until his death in December of 1965, this amounts to thirty two and one half years. Now why did God take Brother Branham off the scene before the journey was over, only God knows for certain? Maybe the time was not yet right for Christ's second coming. If this is the case, then God will send someone to complete the task of leading these people for the remainder of the journey, possibly another seven and one half years long or maybe even longer. But until this happens, the people will continue to wander in the wilderness, having no leader, and unable to complete their journey.

Now I believe that William Branham knew this was going to happen, for on many occasions he stated that he was only laying a foundation for someone else to build on. He said that someone would come along after him to complete this work of God and tie all the loose ends of the mysteries together.

But will this newly called out group follow someone else after seeing all the supernatural works of God that occurred during William Branham's ministry? Or will they continue to look back at what God has done in the past, instead of what He is doing in the present?

Before Brother Branham left the scene, God had him put some measures in effect in his Church that would prevent any false prophet, or false leader, from taking over and leading the people astray. He made it a rule of the Church, that all prophecies would be judged in private before releasing them to the open Church. William Branham, knowing at that time, that when God sent someone else to continue the work, this rule would not hinder him from taking over as the leader, for the power of God would be with him, and there would be no doubts in the minds of the people.

So if the crossing of the River Jordan is to occur for those called out Gentiles, and it will when God is ready, then someone will be sent by God to build upon William Branham's foundation, and finish his work by tying all the loose ends of the mysteries of the Bible together.

March 19, 1961

"When Elijah comes, we're looking for him to come‑ God said he would, and he'll be here! I believe, if anything, the message that we got today will forerun that great coming of him. Yes, sir! He's on his road, already born. Like Elijah was, and come busting out of the wilderness, somewhere he'll make hisself known."

March 18, 1962

God has promised Malachi 4 for this last day, and Malachi 4 has not yet as been fulfilled. Jesus referred to it. It is to be just before the coming of Christ the second time.

March 21, 1963

There is to be a coming of the true spirit of Elijah, it'll be here in its own season and time. We may be laying a foundation for it now.

March 24, 1963

It may be the hour now that this great person that we're expecting to rise on the scene may rise on the scene. Maybe this ministry that I have tried to take people back to the word has laid a foundation; and if it has, I'll be leaving you for good. There won't be two of us here at the same time.

And the last gift being added in the Laodicean age, which is the seventh angel's time to preach, at that time that they would be a lot of things that was misconstrued down through the ages. The last message is supposed to straighten that all up, to bring these thing to "one faith, one Lord, one baptism."

Now we are closer than it seems to be. I may be building a platform for somebody else to step on. And If I'm laying a foundation that another shall stand upon, grant, Lord, that soon it'll happen, that the word might be fulfilled.

August 15, 1965

I'm only building. The hour is close at hand when you're going to see something happen, when something is going to take place. And all this background here has only been laying a foundation for a short, quick Message that will shake the whole nations.

November 27, 1965 (One month before his death)

The very word prophet means that “he is a revealer of the Word of God," And that's why today we're in such a need of this great person that's supposed to be sent to us in the form of the prophet Elijah, because it'll be the revelation of God made known to us by vindication.

Time and time again William Branham made it clear that he was not the final Messenger that was to clear up all the misunderstandings resulting from poor scripture interpretations. That God was to send someone after him to do that and his ministry was just building a foundation for the final messenger to build on.

William Branham’s followers call all of his sermon messages “the message of the hour”. This is in error because the real “Message of the Hour” for the church of God is for them to return to the true understanding of the bible scriptures and reject the teaching of the false teachers in the church today that are keeping the people under bondage of their false manmade doctrine.

The final message of the hour is to return to the truth of God’s Word and reject the false teaching of scripture that is prevalent in today’s churches. This has nothing to do with a person’s salvation. Salvation comes with believing the gospel that God sent his only begotten son to provide a way for his children to obtain eternal life. Those who believe this gospel and are baptized will be saved.
