The Second Exodus

During the time of Moses there was an exodus that occurred. The Israelites were in the land of Egypt, in a land that was not their's, and out of the will of God. They were living in a land under the rule of a Pharaoh serving his own personal desires and learning the same ways of life that the Egyptians lived. They ate the same kind of food that the Egyptians ate, and worshiped the same Gods that the Egyptians worshiped. But they had the knowledge in their heart that one day they would return to the land that God had promised to their fathers.

So God raised up a man called Moses that He would use to bring His people out of that land, and lead them back to the land that He had promised to give them, across the Jordan River. So Moses went to the people and told them that God had sent him to take the people out of Egypt and lead them back to the land which was to be their home forever.

When Moses led the people out of Egypt, there came an incident where they rejected God's Word, they disbelieved Him. For this reason, God delayed their arrival in the land of promise, and they wandered in the wilderness of Sinai for forty years before crossing the River Jordan, and entering it.  Moses, because of not holding to God's Word, was not allowed to take the people across into the promise land, so he died before the crossing took place. God took the leadership of the Israelites from Moses and put it upon another man, Joshua. Joshua then led the people across the River Jordan and entered the land that God had given to them.

So there is a rather short summary of the story. The story of the exodus of God's people out of a pagan land, a land that was not to be their home. This was the first exodus.

Well history is again repeating itself. Another exodus of God's people has taken place, and another period of wandering in the wilderness because of unbelief in God's Word. Only this exodus was for the Gentiles. In this exodus, the Gentiles were called out of the World to prepare themselves for crossing over into a heavenly promised land. But they are still wandering in the wilderness, because God did not permit their Moses to take them up to the crossing of the River.

Now all of what I am about to say is not just speculation on my part, I have received what I consider to be a revelation from God about this. We must remember, God has made a habit of doing something in the physical realm, then following it up with the same thing happening in the spiritual. As He brought the Israelites, a physical people, out of Egypt, a physical land, I believe that He is now bringing His Bride, a spiritual people, out of a Church World where the truth of God's Word is not used for the basis of their faith, into a spiritual kingdom, preparing them to enter into that land where eternal life exists.

Back in the year of 1933, God anointed a man to bring forth a message to the people that was to prepare them for the last stage of their journey. This message was to prepare the Bride of Christ for His eminent return. But something went wrong. The Messenger, the second Moses, left the scene before the return of Christ for His Bride, just as Moses left the scene before the crossing of the River Jordan. Now those who were called to be the Bride are continuing to wander in a wilderness, not able to approach the River Jordan, because they have no one to lead them.

The Messenger/Deliverer that God sent to assemble His Bride, after calling them out of the World into the wilderness, led them for thirty two and one half years. The original Moses led the Israelites through the wilderness for forty years. So this could mean that this group which was called out has seven and one half years left, of being led through the wilderness, before they reach their River Jordan. For you see, if History is going to repeat itself, just as the Israelites were led by the first Moses for forty years, so must this latter group also be led for forty years. And if the deliverer of this latter group was taken away before the journey was over, God will have to send someone to complete the task.

Now it is obvious to me that the Messenger/Deliverer that God sent was William Marrion Branham. For William Branham said the message that he received at the River in June 1933 was that "just as John the Baptist forerun the first coming of Christ, his (William Branham's) message would forerun His second coming".

Contrary to what many say, Brother Branham himself was not to forerun Christ's second coming, as did John the Baptist the first time. If this was so, either Brother Branham would still be on the scene, or Christ has already returned the second time, and neither of these things are true. So it had to be that his message was to forerun Christ's return.

The second exodus, being conducted by William Branham started in June of the year 1933, and continued until his death in December of 1965, this amounts to thirty two and one half years. Now why did God take Brother Branham off the scene before the journey was over, only God knows for certain? Maybe the time was not yet right for Christ's second coming. If this is the case, then God will send someone to complete the task of leading these people for the remainder of the journey, possibly another seven and one half years long or maybe even longer. But until this happens, the people will continue to wander in the wilderness, having no leader, and unable to complete their journey.

Now I believe that William Branham knew this was going to happen, for on many occasions he stated that he was only laying a foundation for someone else to build on. He said that someone would come along after him to complete this work of God and tie all the loose ends of the mysteries together.

But will this newly called out group follow someone else after seeing all the supernatural works of God that occurred during William Branham's ministry? Or will they continue to look back at what God has done in the past, instead of what He is doing in the present?

Before Brother Branham left the scene, God had him put some measures in effect in his Church that would prevent any false prophet, or false leader, from taking over and leading the people astray. He made it a rule of the Church, that all prophecies would be judged in private before releasing them to the open Church. William Branham, knowing at that time, that when God sent someone else to continue the work, this rule would not hinder him from taking over as the leader, for the power of God would be with him, and there would be no doubts in the minds of the people.

So if the crossing of the River Jordan is to occur for those called out Gentiles, and it will when God is ready, then someone will be sent by God to build upon William Branham's foundation, and finish his work by tying all the loose ends of the mysteries of the Bible together.

The following chapters concern the life and ministry of William M. Branham and what God has revealed to me concerning him.

The following are some quotes from William Branham’s sermons that need to be considered. They are as follows.

WILLIAM BRANHAM PROPHETIC QUOTES

From March 1961 to November 1965
1 Month before his Death

March 19, 1961
"When Elijah comes, we're looking for him to come‑ God said he would, and he'll be here! I believe, if anything, the message that we got today will forerun that great coming of him. Yes, sir! He's on his road, already born. Like Elijah was, and come busting out of the wilderness, somewhere he'll make hisself known."

March 18, 1962
God has promised Malachi 4 for this last day, and Malachi 4 has not yet as been fulfilled. Jesus referred to it. It is to be just before the coming of Christ the second time.

March 21, 1963
There is to be a coming of the true spirit of Elijah, it'll be here in its own season and time. We may be laying a foundation for it now.

March 24, 1963
It may be the hour now that this great person that we're expecting to rise on the scene may rise on the scene. Maybe this ministry that I have tried to take people back to the word has laid a foundation; and if it has, I'll be leaving you for good. There won't be two of us here at the same time.

June 23, 1963
And the last gift being added in the Laodicean age, which is the seventh angel's time to preach, at that time that they would be a lot of things that was misconstrued down through the ages. The last message is supposed to straighten that all up, to bring these thing to "one faith, one Lord, one baptism."

December 29, 1963
Now we are closer than it seems to be. I may be building a platform for somebody else to step on. And If I'm laying a foundation that another shall stand upon, grant, Lord, that soon it'll happen, that the word might be fulfilled.

August 15, 1965
I'm only building. The hour is close at hand when you're going to see something happen, when something is going to take place. And all this background here has only been laying a foundation for a short, quick Message that will shake the whole nations.

November 27, 1965 (One month before his death)
The very word prophet means that “he is a revealer of the Word of God," And that's why today we're in such a need of this great person that's supposed to be sent to us in the form of the prophet Elijah, because it'll be the revelation of God made known to us by vindication.

Time and time again William Branham made it clear that he was not the final Messenger that was to clear up all the misunderstandings resulting from poor scripture interpretations. That God was to send someone after him to do that and his ministry was just building a foundation for the final messenger to build on.

William Branham’s followers call all of his sermon messages “the message of the hour”. This is in error because the real “Message of the Hour” for the church of God is for them to return to the true understanding of the bible scriptures and reject the teaching of the false teachers in the church today that are keeping the people under bondage of their false manmade doctrine.

The final message of the hour is to return to the truth of God’s Word and reject the false teaching of scripture that is prevalent in today’s churches. This has nothing to do with a person’s salvation. Salvation comes with believing the gospel that God sent his only begotten son to provide a way for his children to obtain eternal life. Those who believe this gospel and are baptized will be saved.

William Branham said: “And the last gift being added in the Laodicean age, which is the seventh angel's time to preach, at that time there would be a lot of things that was misconstrued down through the ages. The last message is supposed to straighten that all up, to bring these things to "one faith, one Lord, one baptism."

Jesus said in Matthew 17:11: “Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.

That time is at hand!

Defining what a "day" actually is

What is the definition of a day? When does a day start and when does it end? Does a day begin at sundown and end at sundown twenty four hours later, as is indicated in the first chapter of Genesis? Or does a day begin at midnight and end at midnight twenty four hours later as we observe it today? Or is the more accurate observation of the beginning and ending of a day as described throughout the Bible, occur from sunrise on one day to sunrise twenty four hours later the next day? Why shouldn’t we consider the start of a day at sunrise and call it a day, instead of considering the start of a day at the beginning of a night or halfway through a night and calling it a day. If a day starts at night, it should be called a night and not a day.

In the first chapter of the book of Genesis we are told about the creation process that occurred on each of the first six days. At the end of each day during the creation, God said: "And the evening and the morning were the first day." Then after every other day of creation, for the second through the sixth day, a similar statement was made, indicating that a certain day of creation had ended.

Throughout the years, Bible Teachers have interpreted that statement to mean that each day consisted of two parts, first the evening part, then the morning part which was the end of the day. In doing so, we were made to understand that a certain day began with the evening, at sundown, and ended at sundown twenty four hours later. If that had been the case, God may have very well said that the evening, morning, and the afternoon were the first day, indicating that every day began at the start of an evening period at sundown, and ended at the conclusion of an afternoon period, and the sundown twenty four hours later.

To state in another way how we have been taught when a certain day starts and ends, let us look at this example. On Monday afternoon at sundown the twenty four hour period known as Tuesday would then end at sundown on Tuesday afternoon.

Where our present day starts at midnight and runs to the following midnight, we have been taught that the day in Bible times started at sundown and ran to the next sundown. But I believe that the scriptures can prove to us that what many are teaching about when a certain day begins and ends is just a misinterpretation of what is said in the first chapter of Genesis.

In the twelfth chapter of Exodus God instructs His people to prepare for the Passover to be held on the fourteenth day of the month. The Passover Lamb would be killed in the evening of the fourteenth day and eaten that same night. Then according to Numbers 33:3, the Israelites departed from Rameses in Egypt in the next morning which was the fifteenth day of the Month. Now if the day of the fourteenth started at sundown, the next morning when they left would have still been the fourteenth. So you see, these two verses taken together disprove the theory that the day starts at sundown.

Note also that in Leviticus 23:5 thru 6 that it says the fourteenth day of the Month is the Passover day, and the next day after the Passover, on the fifteenth day of the Month begins the first day of unleavened bread. This feast of unleavened bread then runs for seven days and ends on the twenty first day of the Month according to Exodus 12:18. So then we see that there are eight days included in this time of celebration, the first day on the fifteenth of the month being the Passover, and the second day thru the eighth days are the seven days of the feast of unleavened bread. The last day of unleavened bread being the twenty first day of the Month. One additional thing to note is that the first and the last day of the feast of unleavened bread were designated as a day of holy convocation, in which no work was to be performed.

Another scripture, which is in the New Testament, which disproves the theory of the day beginning at sundown, is John chapter twenty, verses one and nineteen. In verse one it speaks of the morning of the first day of the week when Jesus rose from the Tomb, and in verse nineteen it speaks of Jesus appearing to His disciples in the evening of that same day. Now if the evening part of the day preceded the morning part of the day, this couldn=t have happened. So Jesus rose from the Tomb on the morning of the first day of the week, and later in that same day, at evening, He appeared to His disciples.

A lot of this misinterpretation of when a day begins and ends is caused by the wording used by the Bible Translators. In Genesis 1:5 the Bible reads as follows: "And the evening and the morning were the first day." The Translators added the word "were" after the word "morning" in this verse. This made it appear that the evening of a certain day came before the morning of the same day. But if the word "were" had not been used, and instead the word "ended" would have been inserted after the word "morning", it could take on a different meaning. But now why in the World would we even consider using the word "ended" in place of the word "were"?

Let us consider that God had just completed all of the creating He had planned for a certain day, and after the day was over He could have said: And the evening and the morning ended the first day, with a new day beginning at dawn. Yes I know this is just speculation, but what basis do you think the Translators had to add the word "were" in this scripture? I don=t believe they had any thought that someone would come along and interpret this to mean that a new day began at sundown, instead of in the next morning.

Look at the statements in Matthew 26 verses 19 and 20. The Disciples prepared the Passover meal for Jesus on the fourteenth day of the Month and that same night He sat down with them and ate it. Now if Sundown, or the Evening, began a new day, then He would have celebrated the Passover on the next day, on the fifteenth. The scriptures tell us in the book of Exodus that the Passover meal is eaten on the same day that it is prepared (Exo 12:6-8).

There we have examined several scriptures that refute the theory of a day beginning at sundown, at the evening hour, and ending twenty four hours later, at evening on the next day. But there are absolutely no scriptures outside of the first chapter of Genesis that support that the interpretation of the day begins at the evening hour.

In conclusion, I believe the scriptures as a whole support the observation of a day starting at sunrise, continuing through the morning, the afternoon and the evening and ending at sunrise the next morning.

I believe that Bible Scholars came up with that interpretation in order to build a foundation to support Jesus being in the Tomb for three days and three nights. For the scriptures in the four Gospels are not detailed enough to be able to verify the three day and three night event. But you see, verification or support is not necessary, or should not be necessary. Jesus said He would be in the Earth for three days and nights, and that is all the proof that we should need to believe that He was.

Are Miracles Necessary?

Are miracles Necessary to Vindicate a Ministry?

                                                                   Jesus’ Ministry

The author of the gospel of John said that the first miracle that Jesus performed happened in Cana, when He turned the water into wine.

John 2:11 this beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

It may be that this was the first one that the author of John ever witnessed, but I believe that the scriptures indicate that Jesus may have performed one or more miracles prior to the day of this wedding.

Let us look at this from a reasonable point of view, instead of assuming that everything recorded in the Bible is correct. Now it would be great if we could accept the entire Bible as being true, but there is a reason that we can=t. As I have proven before, in translating the original scriptures into different languages down through the years, men have added to those scriptures, making them fit their own interpretation. That is why it was necessary for God to reveal to us what the original scriptures actually said. Just as we cannot take what this person says about this being the first miracle that Jesus ever performed being a fact, if there is something else in the scriptures that indicate otherwise.

Let us now look at what Mary, the mother of Jesus said. When they ran out of wine for the marriage feast, Mary spoke to Jesus about it as though He should do something about it. Jesus basically responded to her as saying: what do I have to do with this marriage. But Mary said to the servants to do whatever Jesus says to do. It was obvious that Mary knew that Jesus could come up with some wine. I believe that previous to this day, Mary had witnessed Jesus performing some kind of a miracle. And out of respect for His mother, Jesus turned the water into wine.

So, do you yet see that just because something is recorded in the Bible, it is not necessarily the complete truth? That is just the reason it becomes necessary to look at the big picture, considering all the scriptures.

                                                          John the Baptist’s Ministry

The question we want to look at here is, did John the Baptist perform any miracles?

In the Bible, specifically John 10:41, there is a statement that John the Baptist performed no miracles like Jesus did. But can we literally accept everything that is written in the Bible as being the truth of what happened?

The report of the ministry of John the Baptist, as it appears in the gospels, says that when John began preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, a multitude of people came out from the surrounding countries to hear him. I don=t believe that the preaching of any man, by itself, would be the determining factor to bring multitudes of people out into a wilderness to hear him. Only if signs and wonders were being performed, would the people be drawn out to hear John.

Let’s look at the ministry of Jesus for a minute. Even if Jesus would have started His ministry with preaching only, I don=t believe He would have achieved the fame that He did. The signs, wonders and miracles that were exhibited during the ministry of Jesus were the evidence that God had sent Him. And only because the people witnessed that He had been sent by God, was He able to draw the following that He had. Jesus said to the people: "if I don=t do the works of God, don=t believe me".

John 10:37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. John 10:38 but if I do, though you believe not me, believe the works: that you may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

By the same token with the ministry of John, if the works of God were not being made manifest, they would not have believed that God had sent him. But the people did believe John and multitudes of them were baptized by him.

When the Angel of the Lord visited Zacharias, the father of John the Baptist, the Angel told him that John would be sent to the people in the spirit and the power of Elijah. The power of Elijah was demonstrated by the miracles that he performed. Without the signs, wonders and miracles being exhibited in the ministry of Elijah, he would not have been effective either.

When Jesus asked His disciples: "Who do men say that I am?". They responded that the people say that he is "John the Baptist, or Elijah, or Jeremiah". Now why would some of the people think that Jesus was John the Baptist? I=ll tell you why. Because they witnessed some of the same signs and wonders being performed by Him as they witnessed with John.

Even Herod thought that Jesus was John the Baptist who had risen from the dead, because mighty works were being performed by Him, just as they were during the ministry of John.

Look at what they said about Jesus when he was healing the sick and casting devils out of people. They said that He had a devil in Him, and cast out devils by Beelzebub, the prince of the devils.

Mat 12:24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, this fellow does not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

Jesus also stated that the people charged that John the Baptist had a devil, just as they charged Him with having one. Why? Because John was doing the same works that Jesus was doing.

Mat 11:18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He has a devil.

The scriptures do not plainly say that signs, wonders and miracles were being performed during the ministry of John, but I believe they clearly indicate that they were.

In addition, look at the ministries of others. The apostles, Peter, John and others such as Paul, Barnabas, Stephen and Philip. All of these had signs, wonders and miracles taking place during their ministries vindicating that God had sent them.

I knew at least one minister, when questioned about miracles, who said:  we don’t need miracles now that we have the Bible”.

If Reverend (put any name here) does not have signs, wonders and miracles occurring during his ministry, can you be certain that he was sent by God to preach the gospel?

Jesus said: “Unless you see signs and wonders you will not believe”.(John 4:48) and  “If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.” (John 10:37)

Are miracles necessary for you to believe one has been sent by God?

The Chronology of the Time of Man

During my many years of Bible study, I have reviewed the chronologies written by many Bible students and teachers, but always found that because of the Author using so much speculation in determining some of the dates, I found them to be unreliable. So the only way that I had of being confident in the accuracy of one, was to do it myself.

This work, to the best of my knowledge, contains no speculation, but uses only the facts of the Holy Bible, and the best verifiable information found in the available history books.

Since all dates have been rounded off to even years, there is bound to be some error, but this work was not completed to become the gospel on the subject, but only as a fairly accurate guide to aid the Bible Student.

This work was undertaken to point out the approximate date of Jesus’ birth, death and the duration spent in Egypt by the Israelites, which is incorrectly stated by most preachers.
